Dear Yuebin,

Thank you for being an early adopter of Firebase App Hosting. Your participation and feedback has provided valuable insights that helped shape the product we have today.

We’re writing to remind you that Firebase App Hosting is now generally available (GA), as announced at Google Cloud Next 2025. GA status means the service is fully supported and ready for production use.

With this transition to GA, please see the information below for important updates regarding your use of the service, which includes the start of charges for bandwidth usage.

What you need to know

Key changes:

Your App Hosting instances in your projects are on the Google Cloud GA Terms of Service.

Starting June 14, 2025, your App Hosting projects will be billed for:

Uncached Outgoing Bandwidth

Cached Outgoing Bandwidth

All projects will have a no-cost tier quota of 10 GiB per month for all Outgoing Bandwidth.

Both Uncached and Cached Outgoing Bandwidth contribute to the 10GiB no-cost quota.

Once the project reaches 10GiB of Outgoing Bandwidth, the project will be charged at $0.15/GiB for Cached Outgoing Bandwidth and $0.20/GiB for Uncached Outgoing Bandwidth.

Note: This doesn’t impact the billing from the underlying Cloud services App Hosting creates in your project. You have been and will continue to be billed for the usage of those products.

App Hosting GA includes the following new features:

A new monitoring dashboard and logs viewer

Rollbacks

VPC support

New regions, with availability in Europe, Asia, and the United States

CDN usage charts

Documentation updates

What you need to do

No action is required from you at this time.

Your project will be billed automatically starting June 14, 2025.

We recommend reviewing your Firebase App Hosting usage in the Firebase console, and reading our Understand App Hosting Costs guide. You can adjust your app’s bandwidth costs by following the Cache content guide to increase your cache hit ratio.
